With a tradition of over 190 years of pioneering the cocoa industry, Van Houten has radically changed how we enjoy chocolate drinks. In 1828, Casparus Van Houten invented the hydraulic cocoa press, separating cocoa liquor from cocoa butter and making cocoa powder more accessible.

His son, Coenraad Van Houten, continued to revolutionize the industry with the Dutching process, which transformed cocoa powder into a sweeter and easier-to-use product, paving the way for modern chocolate bars.

Today, Van Houten continues to innovate, launching the first ruby chocolate drink powder in 2021, and Gold Chocolate Drinks in 2022, ready to redefine the chocolate product category.
