Matcha green tea is characterized by its light green color, refined, slightly tart taste, and pleasant aroma. It is a green tea ground into a fine powder. It is obtained according to a method developed hundreds of years ago, which involves shading the tea bushes from sunlight using special mats. This slows down the growth of the bushes. Their leaves turn pale green and begin to produce amino acids, which contribute to the tea's sweeter taste and more intense aroma. After harvesting, the leaves are dried and ground into a fine powder. Matcha originated in China, but it was particularly prized by the Japanese, becoming an integral part of their traditions and culture. The green tea powder is used in a ceremony called cha-no-yu, which is performed according to strict rules. According to tradition, special tools are used for its preparation: a bowl (chawan) and a bamboo whisk (chasen). Matcha green tea powder also works well as an ingredient in dishes and desserts, coloring foods bright green and adding a pleasant taste and aroma similar to that of tea.

How to prepare Matcha?
Pour 1 teaspoon of matcha tea powder into a bowl (approximately 1g). Pour 40 ml of hot water over the powder, at a maximum temperature of 70-80 °C. Whisk the tea for about 30 seconds. It can be served plain as a shot, with added water, or with milk.
